I am an associate professor in the Computer Science Department, of the Viterbi School of Engineering at USC. I joined USC in August 2010. Before that, I was a research staff member in the Data Analytics Group at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center since November 2006. I received my M.S. and Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University. My research interests include machine learning and data mining with applications to biology, climate science, health, and social media.
